Lacy and Dalton were married at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Oregon City. Their reception was held at the home of a family friend who even arranged for a break in the weather so guests could enjoy festivities on the lawn and back patio. Well, I’m not actually sure their friends controlled the weather, but it was a spectacular setting for two people who could not be more adored by their families and friends!

Jenny and Jake chose to include all people and places meaningful in their lives when it came to their wedding. Their ceremony at 1st Presbyterian Church included the reading of First Corinthians by Jenny’s 100 year old Aunt Marion. A horsedrawn carriage carried the newlyweds down Main Street to a reception at the Columbia Dance Center. We even stopped at Jenny’s alma matter, The Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, for a quick photo session. All in all, a spectacular day!

Historic and modern Portland complimented each other perfectly when Megan and Jeff were married in an intimate ceremony at the Oaks Pioneer Chapel, then partied the night away with family and friends at the Jupiter Hotel. Take a look at the revelry and love that was their wedding!

Deb was as radiant as any bride I’ve ever seen. And why shouldn’t she be: she was marrying the love of her life, in the very place they met, on the holiday weekend she had always imagined she’d be married (July 4th), and would make their getaway in her beloved vintage Mustang convertible. Family and friends gathered at Sunset Presbyterian Church to wittnes the nuptials and celebrate with a picnic lunch, cake and ice cream. It was a fabulous day!

Not too many couples can claim they were married where they met, but Deb and Mathew can! The two met at Sunset Presbyterian Church, so it was a joy for the members to celebrate their wedding and reception at the very place it all began. Here are a few of the more candid snippets from the day.

Tom and Melissa were married in a reverent and inspiring ceremony at Beaverton Foursquare Church. After the ceremony, we headed up to the Portland Rose Garden for a photo session with the couple and their wedding party. Then it was on to the World Forestry Center where they couple joined their family and friends in toasts, dinner, and a cake that was complimented with a platter of tuxedo strawberries. After dinner, the couple and their guests hit the dance floor to the sounds of Swing City!

Jonathon and Libby were married June 16th at the historic Old Church in downtown Portland. During the ceremony, the pastor told the history of the couple’s journey to meeting each other, their commitment to a Christian marriage and their goals for the future, which included completing medical school and using their degrees in a way that will help the human condition, wherever that takes them. After the reception, the guests traveled down Clay Street to the Portland Marriot on the Waterfont for a dinner and dancing celebration.

After a honeymoon in San Diego, it will be back to the hospital for these busy third year med students. I’ve already told them to schedule some time on July 16th, when their website will go live. I’d also like to give huge thanks to their families for making us feel so welcome at the ceremony and reception. And of course, all our best to the newlyweds!

Libby and Jonathon flew in from Michigan last week to start the celebration of the wedding this Saturday. The ceremony will be held at the historic Old Church with the reception following at the Downtown Waterfront Marriott. I was happy to finally meet this busy couple last week in the Rose Garden and look forward to a beautiful event tomorrow!
