Big, big, BIG changes are in store for AJ’s in 2011, but not of them could have happened without our fabulous clients in 2010! A big Happy New Year and Thank You to everyone and hope you enjoy the next few weeks of our year in review! Even more important, we have some wonderful events coming up in 2011 and can’t wait to show them to the world!

The beautiful sunshine last Saturday was surpassed only by Tiffany and Anthony’s beaming smiles at their wedding. The couple exchanged vows at The Acadian Ballroom, then treated family and friends to a celebration reception that included local beer and wines, fabulous buffet dinner, Mariachis, cupcakes from Saint Cupcake, chocolate dipped strawberries, and dancing. Lots of dancing!

Wow – it has been a while!

We have so many exciting plans in the works for 2010:

Wonderful Weddings! I am so grateful we book such unique and joyful couples. I can honestly say I’m looking forward to each and every event! Our first wedding of the season is April 10th, at Acadian Ballroom. You’d better believe we’ll have the festivities on the Shutter Monkey right after wards!

Portraiture Galore! We’re thrilled to have so many of our wedding couples come back for maternity and family sessions as well as welcoming new clients into our AJ’s family.
We’ll be announcing our new summer portrait series in the coming weeks.

Sensational Seniors! After testing the waters of Senior Portraits last year, we came to the conclusion: We LOVE Seniors! We just photographed two new Senior Reps from Hockinson High School. Olivia and Karen were absolutely charming!

Did I mention we’re moving? We will now have meeting space on both sides of the Columbia. We’re over the moon excited to be teaming up with 10 of Portland’s Premeire wedding professionals to launch The Wedding Lounge. Currently under construction, The Wedding Lounge will be located at 2808 NE Martin Luther King Blvd, Suite J. Finally, we’ve been having some fun family events. Hunter made his official acting debut at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics playing Gallito, the Selfish Rooster. So please allow my proud Mom moment to show off my little thespian.

Zach and Kelsey were married at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vancouver and celebrated with family and friends at Portland’s Acadian Ballroom. Sophia had the honors of photographing their day.

Zach and Kelsey were married last Friday at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Vancouver. The ceremony included readings from family and friends, as well as a solo from Zach’s sister, Stella. The Acadian Ballroom was the setting for a dinner and dancing reception. Here is a glimpse of the beautiful day courtesy of Sophie.

This Not-Quite-Weekend-But-Where-We’ll-Be-Shooting at AJ’s!

Tonight, Sophie will be photographing Zach and Kelsey as they exchange vows at St. John’s Lutheran Church. It’s then on to a reception at the Acadian Ballroom.

JP and I will be shooting Blake and Renee’s beach wedding in Las Vegas on Monday. Yes, you heard me right. Blake and Renee are tying the knot in a sunset ceremony on the “beach” at Mandalay Bay. In this case, what happens in Vegas will not stay in Vegas, but will be shared a few days later on the Shutter Monkey!
